EXCEL TUTORIAL

With the pace of business gaining speed every day, the ability to manage information and automate data calculations and the creation of charts and graphs is becoming more and more important. You also need to be able to distribute your information in a concise, effective way. But for some of us, where to begin is not as intuitive as we would like.

Excel Tutorial is the essential first course for anyone wanting to learn Excel from the beginning. You don't need to be a computer wizard to take this course. We use simple, step-by-step instructions that are reinforced using picture examples. What a great way to learn! Students will design their own spreadsheet as they take this course, and will work with a pre-made workbook to make learning the concepts easy and fun! When they are done, they will have a solid understanding of how to work in Excel that can be used at work tomorrow!

This course includes:

Basic Navigation

This course will introduce the student with the best method for taking this course and with the workspace and tool bars that are present in Excel 2003.

Entering Labels, Data, and Simple Formulas

This lesson teaches the student how to enter labels for columns and rows, data into cells, a simple formula in one cell and then how to copy it to adjacent cells using intermediate techniques, and finally how to save their work.

Creating charts

This lesson teaches students how to create charts, save them as a separate document in their workbook, how to read the data represented by each column, and how to select individual columns of data to be represented in a chart. Students will also see two different types of charts represented.
