WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONToday's managers must be able to communicate effectively in writing. Poor writing leads to misunderstandings, lost sales, and frustration. A business letter filled with errors hints at a business that ignores the details. This course introduces students to the essentials of written communication in today's business environment, and includes several assignments that give the student an in-depth understanding of the concepts being taught. Using Microsoft WordStudents will learn to use templates to create professional business letters and memos. They will be trained to properly utilize the spelling and grammar tools, and to understand their limitations. Students will create a reusable template with company letterhead and their own contact information to simplify and streamline letter writing. This course also provides an overview of other tools available in these programs. Memos, Emails, and ReportsStudents will learn proper style and relative etiquette rules to follow when communicating in writing. Introduction to Grammar and Spelling for Business ProfessionalsThis is an in-depth introduction to the art of communication that goes beyond structure and form.
